Summary: Great ball for beginner to intermediate golfer 2009-07-23
Comment: This is indeed a great ball for the beginner to intermediate golfer...or really anyone who wants a name brand ball at low cost. Let's be honest...most of us fall into the beginner or intermediate category. I have played 8 rounds with the Laddie. My handicap is 26.8 (I 3 putt a lot) and I have several reasons to like this ball. The Laddie has a very low spin rate which means it flies straighter all the time, even on a mis-hit ball. I am finding many more fairways and greens with this ball as a result of the technology built into the ball to reduce the spin. Trust me, as a high handicapper, I know it works. Also, the Laddie is soft around the greens. It has good feel, although as mentioned above, you can't spin it on the green like the pros. I don't really do that anyway, so no great loss. The soft cover has held up well, although I must admit, I usually only play about 6-8 holes before losing the ball in a hazard. Nevertheless, they have held up well for those 6-8 holes. Also, the Laddie is a low compression ball. This means I can swing easy and still get good distance. Easy swing=more consistency for me. Lastly, as mentioned above, good price for a name brand ball. I have one little hint for you. If you are looking to save even more money and don't care about the name brand, buy a ball called LIMBO ($9.99 for 18 on Amazon). They play exactly like the Laddie and cost even less. Same performance at an even lower cost (and the Laddie is already very reasonably priced to start with).

Summary: Excellent Golf Ball Buy 2009-06-09
Comment: The Precept laddies are great golf balls for the price, particularly for a beginner. I lose quite a few balls in the water and the rough and getting good guality balls for well under $1 each is a real bargain.

Summary: Best Ball For The Price 2009-02-05
Comment: These are great balls at less than $1 per ball. Distance is great but these are not for players who want lots of spin. Spin is over-rated anyway.
