Summary: Best value ball out there. 2010-08-01
Comment: I'm a mid handicap golfer and my short game is my strength so a good "feel" ball can really make a difference. Since I'm still likely to put a few balls into the lakes and woods each round I can't yet justify spending $5 per ball on a Pro V1 (not that I'm convinced that Pro V1's are significantly superior for my level of play)
I switched from the super-affordable TopFlite Distance XL balls (the "rock flight" balls) to the D2 series this past spring. I've played both the D2 Distance and the D2 Feel and they're both very good balls. The balls carry noticeably further that any other balls I've tried - I'm not sure if it's the dimple-in-dimple or the core and I don't really care; what I do know is these balls have some serious "hang time" where they just seem to stay up there longer.
Where the D2 Feel's excel is around the green. They're soft but not mushy and give really great feedback off wedges and the putter. They land softer on the greens and stop rather than roll out. Compared to the D2 Distance balls I haven't noticed any change off the tee - they fly off the driver the same and have the same roll down the fairway. When you get within 100 yards you'll really notice the difference in this ball; it just seems easier to put the ball right where you want it on the green and the putts feel smoother with better control.
Best of all - they're amazingly affordable! When I hit one of these into the lake I think about how it'll affect the scorecard not how it'll affect my wallet.

Summary: Great value and new design 2009-02-06
Comment: very nice 2-pc construction ball. It creats a sound during impacts that is a bit hollow than D2 Straight. I purchased it from Target at $3.74 for 15 ball pack.. Great Price.. can;t beat it!!!

Summary: Great ball for me! 2008-09-19
Comment: I am a very poor, infrequent golfer who really enjoys the game but finds little time to play. This ball is the best (inexpensive) ball I've found. It has great feel, great distance and does not cut or scuff easily. All good traits for someone like myself. The price is great (in the $15.00/15 range)which makes it especially attractive to someone who tends to "spray" his shots and find woods, water and other unattractive traps for lost balls!
